Delegate Tag Greason, Ed Gillespie & Senator Jill Vogel Announce Their Support for New Autism Legislation

Ashburn, VA – Last night, Delegate Thomas A. “Tag” Greason (R-Loudoun) joined with the Republican Nominees for Governor and Lieutenant Govenor, Ed Gillespie and Jill Vogel, to announce their support for new autism legislation in the 2018 session. This legislation will focus on removing the age cap on insurance coverage for autism so all insurance providers in Virginia will be required to cover treatment for individuals on the spectrum.

“This is a momentous night for the autism community,” said Greason. “So many families in Virginia are touched by autism and we must take our previous efforts a step further to eliminate the age cap for insurance coverage.”

Greason added, “From the beginning of his campaign, I have been impressed by Ed Gillespie’s willingness to take a stand on major issues and offer substantive solutions. I look forward to working with him in the upcoming session to finish the work we started with legislation carried by myself and Senator Vogel in previous sessions. The removal of any age cap for insurance coverage has long been a goal of autism advocates in Virginia and I look forward to introducing the legislation to make this a reality.”
