Delegate Tag Greason Receives the 2017 Virginia Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Education & Workforce Development and Champion of Free Enterprise Awards
Richmond, VA –Last night, Delegate Thomas A. “Tag” Greason (R-Loudoun) was recognized by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce for his work during the 2017 General Assembly Session. The Chamber awarded Greason both the Excellence in Education & Workforce Development and Champion of Free Enterprise Awards in recognition of his tireless dedication to education reform and workforce development.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized this year by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce,” said Greason. “Throughout my time in the General Assembly, I have always strived to be a leader in education and business, both of which are critical to my constituents and to the futures of our students.”
Greason added, “While serving as Chairman of the House Education Innovation Subcommittee, I have made it our priority to actively engage with educators, parents and localities to develop thoughtful policy and ensures our school systems are best equipped to provide students with a world-class education. We will continue to reform our SOL’s, ease regulatory burdens on schools and teachers that are excelling, and make crucial investments like the teacher pay raises included in our 2017-2018 budget.”
